Objectives

In the era of green economy, the application of bamboo is becoming more and more important. It has become a new challenge for the industry, government, academia, and researchers to assist in the transformation of traditional industries, nurture new talents, and develop international markets.

National Chung Cheng University's USR Bamboo Program is partnering with the South Asia Bamboo Foundation in India to develop bamboo industry and bamboo charcoal innovation research, with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as the main focus of cooperation. Since 2020, under the guidance and assistance of Taiwan's Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science and Technology, the two organizations have been working together to organize a series of projects on bamboo technology. The two organizations have jointly organized a series of seminars and forums on bamboo technology. This year, it is expected to bring the most advanced technology vision to the world and expand the development of international bamboo industry platform exchange.

In this year's third Taiwan-India Online Bamboo Technology Forum, the theme of the forum is "Bamboo Charcoal Technology", and we will invite bamboo industry experts from many different countries to share and exchange ideas on bamboo charcoal technology. This time, we have invited a Member of Parliament from Manipur in India to deliver the opening speech, as well as professionals from various countries, including the Managing Director of Siddhartha Farm Services in India, Professor of Department of Life Science and Biotechnology of National Ocean University in Taiwan, Executive Director of Yang Ming Optoelectronics Research Institute in Taiwan, and International Project Manager of Bamboo Engineering Research Center of Nanjing Forestry University in China. We hope that this forum will bring you a lot of ideas and stimulate different ideas, so that we can make breakthroughs and new developments in the bamboo charcoal industry.
